When we arrived inSiem Reap, we immediately noticed several differences since our last trip here 6 years ago. There is a new Airport, many new hotels, and the air quality is abysmal. The hotel is cheap at $30 a night and clean. No lift means that after a long day of Wat Hopping, I get to climb the four floors to our room (62 steps), overloonking...

Having left the quiet town of Battambang we set off by river to Siem Reap! We boarded a small river boat with a mixture of locals and tourists at 7am and set off on our 7 hour boat journey.
